Recreational not comercial hunting is an essential conservational tool. Because of this deer numbers in many areas in the east are higher than they were when Europeans first arrived thanks to funds raised from hunting license sails and taxes. Also If you belief that hunters are cruel to animals how about all the elk that starved to death near my home in washington from overpopulation due to no hunting or the animals that are torn apart alive by the overpopulation of wolves in the west, you cant tell me thats more humane than a quick kill from a gunshot
